Sep 29, 2023No Man's Sky Releases Singularity Update
Before the paint has had a chance to dry on an update that brought the game to Mac last week, another update lands for No Man's Sky.
Another update has just dropped for No Man's Sky after the game launched on Apple's platform just shy of a week ago. Just yesterday, creator Sean Murray surprised fans by teasing yet another update for No Man's Sky before the dust had a chance to settle on the previous update. The cryptic clues from Sean Murray typically arrive in the form of singular emojis that he tweets out, resulting in fans speculating about what Hello Games has in store for its immersive multiplatform space sim.
The previous update didn't do much to excite fans, but delivered on the promise that No Man's Sky would be arriving on Mac. Fans who lamented the fact that the Mac update was bereft of any additional content will doubtless be pleased to know that they have not been left out after all.

The latest update for No Man's Sky takes the form of a new expedition called "Singularity." The expedition expands on the content introduced in the recent No Man's Sky Interceptor update and is described as a "narrative-heavy journey," tasking players with unraveling a mystery that centers on subjects like artificial intelligence and the nature of life itself. Also included with this expedition are some clues about the future of No Man's Sky as well as a number of cosmetic items including two full body customization sets that can be earned by taking part in the Singularity expedition. The expedition will run for around five weeks, giving players ample time to dig in.
It has been an exciting year for No Man's Sky players; there have been a number of updates, and the game has also arrived on two new platforms. Hello Games has not revealed much about the future, but has said that there are "many more surprises" coming later this year. The Singularity expedition also includes a laundry list of bug fixes and tweaks, as well as some quality of life improvements such as giving PC VR players the ability to use the virtual keyboard to name their discoveries.
The coming weeks should be interesting as players find clues about the future of No Man's Sky and dive into the lore that forms a large part of the Singularity expedition. Fans will be able to use these crumbs to form educated guesses when Sean Murray inevitably tweets another one of his cryptic emoji clues.
No Man's Sky is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
